Violetta Vasileva is a Vienna-based soprano. In February 2025 she made her role debut as Violetta in Verdi’s La Traviata at Opera Bergen under the musical direction of Anne Randine Øverby. She continued her 2025 season with orchestral appearances including a “Concert for Youth and Peace” with the Youth Orchestra Alpe Adria at the Musikverein Graz conducted by Oksana Lyniv, and a concert with the Nuremberg Symphonic Orchestra led by Jens Georg Bachmann. In 2024, Vasileva won 1st Prize at the Young Voices Alpe Adria International Vocal Competition in Graz and received 3rd Prize at the Mario Orlandoni Concorso Lirico Internazionale in Como. She has also appeared at the Vienna State Opera as part of the soloist quartet in Mozart’s Die Entführung aus dem Serail. She studied at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna with Prof. Mikhail Lanskoi, following earlier training in Moscow at GITIS and the Gnessin State Musical College.
